I really love having my "topics" set up for myself. It makes it easier to do, instead of having to think of something! Like, with the meal planning. If it's already planned out, I just have to do it and it's easier!
We had a busy weekend. We were in Charlottetown on Saturday. HH is a director with PEIHSF and their annual general meeting was that day. Also, DS had a Kub Kar Rally there, but it turns out it was cancelled and no one let his troop know! We ended up doing some shopping and seeing a movie, "The Groods". Yesterday, we went to Sunday School in the morning and my MIL and SIL came up to visit. SIL is here from Ontario. It was a nice visit. Then, more visiting! DD went to visit a friend and DS had a friend over. Now the house is nice and quiet again!
I was able to find some fabric dye for my window treatments at the Fabricville in Charlottetown. It's called Dylon. I had looked (sorta) at Walmart for Rit Fabric Dye and was only able to find dye to to tie-dye stuff which isn't what I need. I'm going to dye some existing fabric so there is a dark blue stripe on the bottom and a light blue stripe on the top.
Sort of ombre-like, but with a strip of white in the middle. If I can get the dye to do that! I may end up with ombre, which is nice, but I'm wondering if it's too "trendy". Anyway, I got China Blue and Ocean Blue dye.
The fabric inspiration from Fabricville actually has stripes running vertically on the fabric, but my stripes will be horizontal. The fabric I have was from some curtains I got from Wicker Emporium many years ago. I have two like this and two with Aztec-looking people on them. One of the curtains has faded and both have rips, but luckily, I have just enough of the non-people fabric to do my window treatments!
Have a great day! :-)
