Garden Pics

AAhh!! I don't really have a new project for this week! Bad blogger!

I've been doing a lot of contemplating- about the back and front gardens (and the new window treatments for the back room).

Here are some pics of the outside of the cottage.

This is the back patio in 2007.  You can see in the back right side where the old patio used to be and on the left is the bump out cedar shingled wall of the breezeway.

Here is a the same view today. You can see the bump out with lattice on it and the patio is now a wall with windows.  We got rid of the old trellis screened room.

Here is the front right side courtyard today.  I've still got the evergreen wreath up!

 

Here it is in August 2012.I still can't believe the difference in the greenery. All that stuff just comes up year after year! I think I'd like a cedar in front of the garbage cans. They may end up staying there, instead of on the front left side.

Here's the front right side today.  The courtyard is on the right side of photo.

 

Aug, 2012. I wonder if I can transplant that smaller cedar on the left?

And, finally, here is the left front side.

And here's the summer. That's a lilac bush on the left. There are a few shoots coming up that I'm going to transplant.  Also, this is where I thought the garbage cans could go, but now may keep in the courtyard.

Lots of things to think about before the spring! But, we're supposed to get 10-15 cm of snow tomorrow so it's not here yet! :-)
