Throwback Thursday- Canoe-zzi

Hi!  I heard "Throwback Thursday" on a radio station when they played Oldies from the 90's!  So, here's my throwback for the day.

A Canoe-zzi! 

 It's not really my project, but HH's.  I had won a canoe from a newly opened Liquor Store from Labatt's Blue Beer.  We used it a bit, but back in the fall of 2006, HH had other plans in mind- to turn it into an outdoor canoe jacuzzi. A Canoe-zzi!

He hooked it up to an old water heater, put in pumps, and pipes and drains.  And it was big enough for 2!  HH wrote about it on his old blog and the story got picked up by the local CBC radio.  Mitch Cormier came up and interviewed him about it!

We used it a few times and then it sort of sat waiting.... 

When we tore down the breezeway,

 framed the floor for the back room addition,

and put up the walls, 

it became harder to use. 

It became a workbench,

And then just an afterthought.

So, last spring we took the canoe out.  HH patched up the holes and we were able to use it as a canoe again!  Here's DS canoeing with HH in the river down by the valley:

Oh, and look at the pretty rainbow we saw on my birthday!  And it wasn't even raining. It was beautiful!
