Front Room Floor Progress

Mornin!

We had a good weekend.  HH got lots of little things done, so there's lots for me to do now...

I went ahead and did the basecoat of paint in the front room.

When I read Debbie Travis' Decorating Solutions from the library many years ago, I knew I wanted to do the design on pg 111 in the front room.

Last week, I had drawn a big pattern on the floor in chalk.

But, I wanted a smaller pattern. I tried to draw it on the floor with chalk again, but I just couldn't figure it out.  So, I went to my notebook of graph paper.  Here's how it'll look.

According to Debbie Travis' Decorating Solutions,

I need a template. Here's mine:

HH finished up the wiring in the hallway, so it's possible for me to drywall now!  I will move the drywall into the hall from the front room so I can paint then think about drywalling!

HH also finished up the ceiling joists in the front room so we were able to temporarily put up some plastic.

I need to have a heater in there so the paint can dry properly.  It's just getting below 10C at night and that's the minimum temp the paint needs.  The plastic will keep some of the heat from just going up into the attic!

Have a great week! :-)
