TGIF

Hi!

So, the first day of school went well.  Both kids had a good day, although this morning they missed the bus!  It came late yesterday so we thought we were doing all right for time, but evidently we weren't!  Next week we'll do better!

I went for a walk this morning. I'm feeling better and thought I might as well!  Also, yesterday we all walked down to Dillon's for dinner so that sorta counts as a walk, right? (I'm using a french keyboard this mornin and it's a bit slow as the punctuation marks are all in different spots!)

Ok, today's the day I used to share projects of the week, but I haven't done many projects. :-)

So, here is a basil plant I rooted:

I bought this basil from the local organic gardener and kept it in water. After being there for a while, I noticed it had grown what looks to be roots. So I stuck it in a pot with some soil.  Last year I planted basil indoors and kept one plant to use thru the winter. It looked nice on the island in the kitchen, but I never really used any of it.  I also never used much of the frozen basil I put away last winter.  This year my basil seeds never sprouted, hence the buying of the basil.  So, I'll try to keep this little plant on the island this winter and see how it goes!

 This is the last weekend my dad and stepmom will be here.  I'm not sure what we have planned. Last night we started an UNO tournament and so far everyone has won a hand except DS.  It's a fun game to play!
