Tasty Tuesday

Finally, a whole day at home (until this evening when we have to go to town for Scouts and to finish staining the benches for FIL!) It seemed like yesterday I didn't have enough time to do stuff before picking up DS and DD at school for their dr's appt.

This week's meal plan:
  • Mon-Leftover pasta, hake, quinoa
  • Tues-Chicken Quesadillas
  • Wed- Jamaican Peas and Rice (World Vegetarian pg 48)
  • Thurs-Salmon Cakes with cilantro pesto(Eating Well March/April 2012 pg 55)
  • Fri- Pizza
  • Sat-Leftovers
  • Sun-Lobster for Mother's Day & BBQ Trout, Steak, Falafels, Hummous, Tabouli, Potato Salad,
Last Year's meal plan:
  • Mon- Grilled Cheese
  • Tues-Trout and Potatoes
  • Wed- Perogies
  • Thurs- Pasta
  • Fri- Corn, Tuna Cakes
  • Sat- Tortilla Pizza
  • Sun- Lobster at Inlaws with Falafels and Tabouli takeout (Mother's Day)
Each week when I do Tasty Tuesday, I go back to the previous week and cross out any meals we didn't actually have and put in what we really ate. Today, I changed 4 meals from last week. I've had Chili on my meal plan for 2 weeks and we still haven't had it! With the weather warming up, I think I'll have to save Chili for the fall!

Also, along with the grass growing we've got dandelion greens coming up. I've never actually picked them from our yard to eat, but I bought some this winter for my daily green smoothie.  I think I'll have to try some wild ones! :-)
