Weekend Update (Kreg Jig Project #1)

Hi!

How was your weekend?  Our's was nice.  C went to a sleepover party Friday night. Saturday morning my FIL came to pick up the kids to take them up to Johnson Shore Inn in the eastern part of the Island.  They made a day of it.  K and I met them in town for another birthday dinner, this time at the Summerside Yacht Club. Sunday, the kids had swimming and I actually went swimming too!  It was quite fun and I got a bit out of breath swimming laps.  I also used the sauna and hot tub and it only cost me $3.95 with my Credit Union discount!

I got one small Kreg Jig project done!  Mostly just to test it out.  So far, I love it!
I had two shelf boards that our recycling containers sit on.  They are to the right of the wardrobe pantry.

Here they are on the table.

Here are my Kreg Jig pocket holes.
After I did this, I did some more research and learned that you only need one pocket hole every 6-8", so I overdid it on the ends. I just took out the screws there.

And here it is in place.
(It sits on my silverware box, not ideal, but I'm not sure where else to keep the box.  I don't really use the silverware inside...)

I have lots of other ideas for projects, but need to cut some boards.  The saw is out on the porch, so I just have to get them out there sometime.

Also, K has been working on the front porch gable arch!

It is very exciting!

Have a great week! :-)
