Mother's Day Weekend

Hello!

How was your weekend?  We had a beautiful sunny day Friday! DD went to a slumber birthday party and  DS went to town, spent the night and went to another birthday party on Saturday.

It was a cloudy weekend and Saturday was a lazy day. DD took a nap and we watched "Bedtime Stories" that evening.  It was better than most Adam Sandler movies!

Mother's Day Re-cap:  I got toast and coffee in bed along with some lovely cards & coupons and earrings & a bracelet.  We took some pics before going into town for swimming.

After swimming, we went to the in-laws where we took more pics.

 

HH barbecued and we had a nice lunch and then a long visit after.  HH & I agree that we like to have our holiday meal at lunch instead of supper.  That way you have more time to visit!

Now that it's Spring (is it spring yet? There's still a tiny patch of snow in the field across the pond from us!), we have the windows open during the day (sometimes) and I can hear the birds singing.  We don't have a bird feeder in our yard, but we still see Robins, Blue Jays, little brown birds, and others along with crows, seagulls, the occasional Bald Eagle(!), and Blue Heron.  We also see ducks down at the pond and geese in the valley.  We hear woodpeckers too, although I haven't seen any this year.  It's fun to see woodpeckers pecking at trees! Anyway, with these birds comes bird poop! I've seen it on our front steps, car and back yard. It's everywhere!  What am I supposed to do with it? Am I supposed to clean it up, or will it go away when it rains?
