Hi!
Another week has gone by!
I've kinda stalled on the bedroom progress...
I put up all the crown moulding.
And I got the trim around the window
and closet door put up.
I started on the 1x6 baseboards and got a few in place.
When I did my first 45 degree angle cut, I set off the smoke alarm in the front room!
The second cut tripped the breaker! I think I shouldn't slide the saw while angle cutting. I haven't cut any 1x6's since then, but I think I need to set the saw closer to me, cut the board, then move the saw back as far as it goes, set it and cut again!
We'll see how it goes...
Even though I didn't get the room done for a "Big Reveal" for K after his trip, I did get it cleaned up.
Here's how the floor looked after I mudded the drywall.
And here it is, after it's (mostly) cleaned up.
Here's all I have to do to finish.
Cut rest of the baseboards! ;-)
Prime walls, baseboards, window trim.
Countersink nails.
Caulk trim.
Paint trim.
Paint walls.
And finish the "built in" dresser, which I'm kinda stuck on.
I should just leave it and get the rest of the room done.
You can see that the hallway has become my dumping ground for supplies.
It'll be nice to have the bedroom done and the hallway cleaned up.
Perhaps this weekend...
Have a good one! :-)
