September is Here (Our camping trip)

Hi!

It's been over a week since I've posted.
We re-arranged the living room (like last fall)
and I started writing a post, but it was so boring, I decided not to post it...

Anyway, this is the last week of summer!  We went on a two day camping trip to Red Point Campground in the eastern part of the island.  Oh, and we also bought a "new" Honda Odyssey Mini Van!  Which took us the two hours to our camping location.  It is quite nice and roomy with all the features.  Including a dvd player for the kids!  Since we don't own a dvd player (or dvd's!) we were able to borrow some from the library!  And the kids watched SpongeBob the whole time!

Here are some pics from our camping trip.

We were right on the beach, so this is the first day, exploring the water. (Must remember to keep the horizon straight! ;-))

Selfie of C and me.

First night at campsite.  Roasting hotdogs for dinner.

Our view from campsite, looking over the water.

A bird (?)

Walking up stairs.

K and me.

C jumping for joy!

Saturday we went to Basin Head Beach.  It is supposed to have singing sands, but we never heard any singing.

This is a really nice white sand beach.  Everybody is out in the water.

C building a sand castle.  K and N are way out in water, behind her.

There is a bridge you can jump off into the water below where there is a fast current that carries you out to the ocean.  That splash below is K and N jumps right after.

Here's me waiting to jump.

After the beach, we drove to the very eastern tip of the island, to the East Point lighthouse.

You can see the ferry boat to the Magdalene Islands behind the kids.

C is a pirate!

Our last day (plus the minivan!)

It was a nice trip.  N said it takes a night to get used to camping, and he's right.  I think next year we'll try to go 3 nights!

Have a good week!  And a great September!!! :-)
